17 Women Share Pics of Loose Skin After Weight Loss to Prove How Common and Normal It Is

If you are a fan of Instagram you’ve already seen that social media is full of weight loss before-and-after photos.

Most of the images typically show only the element of losing weight, but a significant number of Instagrammers are coming forward, they share some side effects of your weight lost.

One of the things these women want to emphasize is a loose skin because when someone loses a significant amount of weight, for any reason, they usually face a problem with the extra skin on their stomach and other parts of their body. Women usually don’t talk about it, so Instagrammers are hoping to open up a conversation about loose skin because it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Some of the Instagrammers, such as Caleh Cristler, dedicated an entire post to loose skin. She encourages women to not fear of loose skin, cellulite, stretch marks, or anything else to stop them from reaching their goals. She also suggested to not be worried what someone might say or think.

This idea echoed with Cristler’s followers, who thanked her for being so honest and shared this problem. All of these ladies reply to her posts and have continued to share with their friends.

You can see 17 women flagrantly showing their loose skin and talking about this often undiscussed side.

“But what if I have loose skin?” ? Please do not let the fear of loose skin, stretch marks, cellulite, or anything else, stop you from reaching your goals. What if you have loose skin? Girl, what if you uncover an amazing warrior who is the strongest mentally, physically, and emotionally that she has ever been? Are you going to let some jiggle stop you? Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare hold your potential hostage because you’re worried what someone might say or think. ☝? Newsflash! Everyone has something on their body that they consider an imperfection! ? Everyone has insecurities! But guess what? You have the power to overcome those issues. You have the power to be more than your worries or anxiety. ? So, I’m here sharing my 4 month postpartum belly from my third baby girl and 2nd c-section, in the hopes that maybe you can begin to realize you are MORE. You are MORE than ENOUGH. Right now. Just as you are. So start believing in yourself and loving that body enough to be happy and healthy. ✌?

Just a reminder that you don’t owe anyone an explanation for your body. Your body does not need to be explained, justified, given context for, or made easier to “figure out.” Whatever your body looks like – fat, thin, loose-skinned, tight-skinned, stretch-marked, dimpled, smooth, curvy, boxy, scarred – your body is NOT a problem to be solved. Your body is not problematic PERIOD. You are not a fraud (or my personal favorite, a “catfish”) because your body looks different with clothes than without. Don’t let people make you feel like your body is some big secret to be revealed or a shiny red Scarlet A to carry around with shame. They don’t like it, they don’t understand it, they want to disagree with it – that’s on them. You have NO duty, obligation, requirement or responsibility to internalize other people’s bigotry and narrow-mindedness by continuing to treat your body as something that has to be fixed. Every inch of you is already beautiful – you do NOT need a reason for existing.

Let’s get #real here peeps. I’m starting to see the bummer side of extreme weight loss. Spray tan helps conceal my battle damage but I’m at the band size I was when I was a teenager and the extra skin coming off my back above the band sucks. BUT! It’s me, I need to still balance that with SELF LOVE and nurturing. Too easily nowadays I nitpick EVERY little thing about my stomach, legs, breasts.. but  I have done some pretty stellar shit in the last 2 years. Dunk tank is T-Minus 6 days and counting. Riding at 5’4″ 172lbs this morning. Leg day tonight #fitlife #fitness #weightlossjourney #weightloss #extremeweightloss #nofilter #weightlifting #womenwholift #liftheavyshit #leaningout #defecit #progresspic #looseskin #stretchmarks #mamamarks #selflove #embracebeauty

2 pictures taken moments apart. The pic on the right is one that might resemble what you see as you scroll your Instagram feed each day. The pic on the right probably reminds you of the ones you think you could never possibly share with the world. Polar opposites ~ but guess what, I’ve decided that both pictures MAKE ME PROUD.  Everyday we are surrounded by images that are supposed to represent ‘perfection’ but why can’t the pic on the left represent perfection too?! The pic on the left represents what my body is capable of ~ growing 2 babies, yes! Little humans that have come into the world and made me the happiest mumma in the whole wide world! It’s not easy for me to do this, I promise you as I post this I am no joke absolutely shit*ing myself but the reason I’m doing this is to show you we’re ALL REAL! We all have things we wish we could change, it’s easy to get caught up in the perfect world of social media but DON’T! Because behind every image is someone that has things they wish they could change too. Be proud, be kind, love your body for what it has done. Stretch marks, loose skin, bellies and saggy boobs – embrace it mummas because you are BEAUTIFUL

The anxiety posting this is REAL. Taken a few minutes apart, flexing in the first. “How did you avoid loose skin and stretch marks?” Heyyyyy, I didn’t! Its all there. High waisted bottoms have become my bff. Do I regret losing weight? Hellllll noooooo. NEVER. Not even a slightest thought. I am more FIT than I’ve ever been in my entire life. Happier. HEALTHIER. I’d be lying if I said my loose skin wasn’t an insecurity of mine.. But I refuse to let it consume me. It doesn’t hold me back like the weight used to. This stomach has grown two beautiful boys.. Has been through a 90lb+ gain and loss (100lb+ lost from my highest weight while pregnant!) Will you have loose skin after losing weight? I can’t answer that for you, everyBODY is different. Will it be worth it, regardless? YES. Also for those who have asked.. I do plan to have surgery some day, but in the mean time I’m just working on self loooovvveeee. BE KINDDDD, I delete negativity (No itworks, creams, lotions, yada yada) #nofilter #stretchmarks

Woke up this morning and for the first time in quite a while I felt really good about my body, my first thought wasn’t to criticize my loose skin or rolls that I have from a lifetime of being over 300 pounds, my first thought was how good I feel!  It’s really easy to get fixated on an unrealistic body on Instagram, that you start to believe will be the only thing that will bring you happiness. But I know from experience, when you can love yourself right now, and be proud of who you are right now then you don’t need to wait for that happiness or confidence, you can give that to your self now! • • • #weightloss #weightlossjourney #fitfam #fitness #fitlife #motivation #dedication #determination #nevergiveup #loveyourself #mentalhealth #youtuber #girlswholift #effyourbeautystadards #instafit #happy #beforeandafter #beforeanddurring #beforeandafterweightloss #losangeles #youtuber #looseskin #looseskinforthewin
